Waterloo Region Economic Development Corporation (WREDC)

WREDC was born out of the Waterloo Region Economic Development Strategy (the Strategy), a roadmap for the Region of Waterloo, Cities of Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo and Townships of North Dumfries, Wellesley, Wilmot and Woolwich and a broad range of community stakeholders to co-operatively support the ongoing economic prosperity of Waterloo Region. The Strategy's vision to be locally rooted, internationally competitive and globally renowned. To realize this goal,  the Strategy identified strategic objectives and specific actions for the new Waterloo Region Economic Development Corporation (WREDC), the Area Municipal economic development offices, and the Region of Waterloo Office of Economic Development.

Accelerator Centre

An award-winning incubation facility offering entrepreneurs and start-ups a comprehensive program proven to move companies from idea, to scalable and sustainable business success.

Communitech

Communitech is the regional hub for the commercialization of innovation in Waterloo Region, creating economic prosperity by removing barriers to the creation and growth of technology companies.

Creative Enterprise Initiative

This initiative is committed to ensuring Waterloo region's cultural creators have the best possible environment to practice their craft, and that they have   access to the resources and services necessary for their ongoing success.

Junior Achievement Waterloo Region

Junior Achievement programs are taught by dedicated volunteers from Waterloo Region who give their time and business expertise to educate youth about business. All programs are free of charge to schools and students, and are sponsored by generous area businesses, service clubs and foundations.

Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation

Ontario's Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation works to grow a strong, innovative economy that provides jobs and prosperity for all Ontarians. It offers programs, services and tools businesses need to innovate and compete in today's fast-changing global economy.

Waterloo Region Tourism Marketing Corp.

The Waterloo Regional Tourism Marketing Corp. promotes Waterloo Region as a year-round travel destination. It operates the official tourism website for   the region with information on where to eat, stay and play, as well as   planning visits.

Workforce Planning Board of Waterloo Wellington Dufferin

This board works in partnership with all sectors of our community - including   business, labour education/trainers and community representatives - to   collaboratively develop solutions to address labour market needs.

KW Association of Realtors

 The Kitchener-Waterloo Association of REALTORS® (KWAR) is a member focused not-for-profit association representing nearly 1,200 local REALTOR® members.
